Timbercreek Disadvantages

Here is the article that I saw on a blogs which I as a tenant confirm that every work is true (written in 2011) :

The problems of Port de mer building in Longueuil which Timbercreek does not care

Do you want to rent an apartment from Timbercreek in Longueuil (Port de mer) for your family?
This information will be useful for you to prevent you from a big trouble. Anyway you can investigate yourself to make sure about realities.
Disadvantages of Port de mer building in Longueuil
1-      You will have very big noise some months per year in your apartment for foundations repairing.
Building is very old with foundation problems, so every year Timbercreek proceeds to repair the problems in the Parking and they have the same problem in the next year again. 2009, 2010, 2011 I as a former tenant have had this problem for 3 years. Usually it takes six months per year and you have a big noise from 6:00 am yes 6:00 am to 18:00 in a day. They don’t respect any rules, there is not any benefit for the tenants during the repairment. They even don't apologize. All people who live on the 3rd floor to 11th hear this big noise and Timbercreek’s answer: “You signed the contract so you should pay 3 months as penalty if you want to leave.” They want to profit this building as much as they can and security and tranquility of the tenants are not important for them.
Recently, They even give you 200$ rewards to bring another victim to live in this horrible building.
2-      Transportation from Montreal to Longueuil is expensive now.
Monthly Opus card charge in longueui is 82$ now. It will be 110$ from Jan. 2012. If you have 3 Opus cards in your family, you will pay 114$ more than someone who is living in Montreal.

Anyway if you want to live in Longueuil near the Metro station, rent a building whose managers respect the tenants. I recommend you to rent a building next to Port de mer to have security and tranquility for you and your family. In Port de mer you pay a big money and you lose security and tranquility as well.
